I'm one of those people who say, whatever, here's my money get me a plane ticket and a hotel. If someone else doesn't do it, it will never happen. But I'm going to really try and not let this one fall through. I'm only been to three European countries in two years... I'm fucking pathetic.

I totally agree with you. I need to do that once in a while or i get feeling all wrong! I think of it as "the cafe lifestyle." I know (because i tried it, in VT) that i wouldn't be happy in a really rural area, because i can't do the about-town solitude thing.
I would love to live in a city for a couple years and get my fill of this sort of thing. How great that you get to do it in Venice!!!
