Readers,
So I haven't been very active at all on SG but looking over the boards I've decided that I should be! There seems to be a great community here online and I love the interaction I see on the multitude of different boards and groups.
So today (Monday) was absolutely exhausting at work, it's only 6 pm and I could already crash. This weekend was great though, the weather is finally feeling like Spring in Iowa and it gave me the rare chance to enjoy the dog park and plenty long walks with Guinness, my little silver lab puppy. Here are some pictures of him Sunday night after a day of swimming in a nearby river and smelling dozens of dog asses (the latter being a lot of work, obviously).
He naturally has so much energy at being only a little over six months right now, so him so absolutely crashed beside me was a welcome change of pace. I'm really looking forward to enjoying the outdoors for with him as it gets warmer here!
Other than that... I finally got promoted after waiting over five years for a position to open up in my unit! It feels good to finally wear the rank I've been performing at and was chosen for so long ago!
Anyways, I'm not much for a blogger but I think this was a good first attempt, right?
Take care everyone!
- David.

I'm in the midwest as well, and the weather has been absolutely glorious, and I suppose a promotion at work would make the day even better!
haha Guinness is pretty damned cute, and too smart for his own good!
