I read an article on The Smoking Gun today about a girl that was being tried for putting Clorox in her rival's Mountain Dew so that she could become the lead in the high school play. The other girl didn't drink the doctored soda...because it smelled like fucking bleach. The most interesting part about my reaction wasn't horror at this terrible thing she'd done; it...

Hey, I just make it not broke.
These days, I find myself smiling at things quite a bit. I've always got a song to sing under my breath, and I can listen to the intro to Isaac Hayes' "Walk On By" over and over. I don't even get mad when people are screwing with me, which seems to just infuriate them. Which in turn amuses me no end. It's not a bad...

When I get back we're going to have to go out sometime.
I am returned. I figured out how to grill bacon-wrapped sea scallops and gained a profound enjoyment of DJ Danger Mouse's remix of Jay-Z's "Dirt Off Your Shoulder".

Good to have you back. Now I'm leaving.

My quest to become calm, quiet, and gracious all the time proceeds apace. I'm a tiny bit more rolly-polly than I wanted to be at this point, but I understand the stress of work makes me eat poorly and not exercise. I'm taking a vacation, though, so I should be even calmer when I get back. Other than that, my life is, as always, exemplary....

I'm going on a bit of a sojourn here myself very soon.

It's not really surprising that all I need to wash the stain of a crappy day away is a good peanut butter and cherry sandwich and a glass of milk. It's not surprising, but it is a nice thing.

I'm finding that alcohol works just as well. *hic*
Calmer and quieter now. I may be becoming a student again soon, so I've been idly calculating what equipment and supplies I'd need for a run at graduate school. Work is irritating, but I'm learning a lot about the way I see the world (in short: I'm not usually very fond of individuals, but I have a soft heart for people in general). I have...

Today, someone won an award for work that I'd done, and I had to sit there, watching him take his certificate and money. I don't care about getting credit for myself, but I sure as in fuck hate other people taking my credit.
I took care of several nagging things today, and I'm much happier. Back to my regularly-sechuled, boringly-charmed life.

My life is charmed in many ways, just boringly so, proper boring.
Dachshunds are enough to make anyones day, along with Beagles. Low down long dogs are always funny!!
I used to be a fatalist but I got tired of waiting.

Yes I am the same, it's all or nothing and when it's all it is always weirder than weird.

I've been very sad today. I'm not sure why; I just was.

feel better soon.

Today at the movie, there were a group of fat, spoiled teenaged boys sitting behind me. They were MST3King the movie, and I got tired of it. I turned around and said, "Shut the fuck up, please." They shut up so quickly I think I heard their teeth click.

Talking in movies drives me nuts, and I have to admit that about 2/3 of the time I'll say "shut the fuck up, please" and 1/3 of the time I'll just let it happen. But one of these days, saying STFU is going to get me shot.
