My life continues its unabatedly uninteresting string of pleasant days. Sorry that I don't have anything better to write. Well, not really.

I bought Prada sunglasses today. I'm glad that I'm relatively sure that even if I do decide to invent time travel at some point in the future, I probably am not going to go visit my old farm boy self, because he'd kick the holy living shit out of me.
sloane:
Thanks!!

It's actually not anything insanely challenging - mostly movie reviews - but I hope it turns out to be an interesting opportunity nonetheless. Plus, I would be willing to do pretty much anything (laundry, childcare, dogwalking, whatever) for what they're paying me.

I do not have the skin cancer. I'd say that's a worry off my mind, but I don't really ever worry, so that'd be a lie.
luminaire:
You could have butt cancer.

How does one interpret this entry?

I came home tired and cranky from too much work and too little sleep. Then, I noticed that my Japanese maples had opened their leaves while I was at work today, and things were better.
velocity:
Japanese maples do have amazing restorative properties.
flux:
Yes, you should have.

Enough maudlin entry. I have spent the last hour undoing all my laziness since last Saturday. I am pleased.

I'm witnessing someone I used to care about die slowly. She's so lovely and smart and full of energy, and her body is betraying her. She'll likely not live to be as old as I am now. It's sad that someone like her gets a body that falls apart, and a thing like me is damage resistant to the point of recklessness.

I feel guilty.

There came a moment today. One of those moments that just stands out. I was wearing my new Professor Zoom t-hsirt, a pair of jeans, and a new pair of yellow and black Kill Bill Asics Tigers. Maybe a foot in front of me was a girl with some heavy sleeve work and basketball-sized fake boobs. She was dancing arrhythmically to Danzig's "Mother". I looked...

Studying for the GMAT has caused me to understand some fantastical new dialect of the English language. I think it's probably related to business-weasel-ese. Plus, I've been scoring better on the verbal practice tests than the Math ones. Given that I have a math degree, I'm about to commit seppuku--as soon as I find the folded-up frisbee.

"What percentage of the area of the circle...

Yeah, this creature needs to go.

In other fine news, have you heard it's now possible to download high quality scans of comics? There are teams of dorks out there uploading entire weeks worth of books.

Diabolical.

Mondays with null:

Friend: So what's up?
null: Listening to Blondie and looking at pictures of ponies.
Friend: Um, why are you looking at pictures of ponies?
null: Ponies are fucking awesome.

I swear, most of the time, you'd be forgiven for thinking that I'm retarded.

Winding down nine days of not being at work (read "having a vacation"). I'm eating an apple and some decent cheddar, listening to Massive Attack's Blue Lines, and getting back in the work mode.

What did I do with my nine days? Found a barber I like. Drank mojitos and mint juleps. Ate greasy spoon breakfasts and made lavish productions out of dinner at...

Speaking of comics.

Off hand, do you know any easy way to get them graded?
