I had dinner with the charming Scorpio tonight. It was a wholly pleasant way to pass the evening.

I also had to get the turbo intercooler hose replaced in the Evo for a factory recall, which lead to me being in Everett. I'm a spoiled Eastside of Seattle boy these days, so Everett is an exotic trip to blue-collar-land without going near Tacoma. In the Macy's in Everett Mall, I witnessed a couple wiggers try to intimidate a sales clerk into letting them use an obviously stolen credit card. When I did my white knight bit and said they should just back off, I was told, "Keep steppin', fat boy." Of course, I found that uproarious, which seemed to unnerve the boys. Security showed up before anything interesting could happen.

Afterward, I wondered why I end up in those kind of messes. At first I figured it was because I'm nosy enough to say something, but it was pointed out that most people don't even notice these things to begin with, so my problem is that I'm more aware of the world than normal. I'm not sure how to feel about that.
