While I sit here waiting for the lotion (regular readers will correctly guess that it is Kiehl's lotion) to sink into my troubling sunburn, I figure that I can detail today.

I woke up and did my normal thing, but the ennui of the past few days was still on me. As I was trying to decide what to eat for lunch, I saw that Luminaire had posted that he would be going to the beach. He also suggested that anyone who wanted to join him bring stuff for a barbecue. I thought that to be a fine, fine notion, so I bought fixings for nearly twenty burgers and set out for Ballard.

I met Luminaire, and we chilled in the sun for a while before Sydni, Trevallion, and FallFromGrace arrived. Shortly after they arrived, Trevallion became first obsessed with writing on the fire pit with charcoal and then obsessed with digging the bizarrely copious number of rusty nails out of the sand around us.

Right about then, we witnessed the smoothest pickup line ever. To paraphrase: "Hey ladies. What are you doin' tonight? Sleeping?"

Not long after, SupremePizza man and It_Thing_Hard_On arrived. Some time after that, a group of Asian girls sang Spice Girls songs. Somehow, they managed to make them even worse. These two facts are unconnected, but it's fun to try to imply that Asian girls were trying to woo the PizzaMan.

We also realized that we were severely lacking in barbecue and eating implements. We tried calling late arrivers to bring the stuff, but eventually FallFromGrace and I went to buy what we needed. Lawnmowerman showed up about the same time we got back.

Upon arriving back, we found that there were no free barbecues. I believe my next words were: "There was a grill beside the road up there. You guys should go get that." Of course, Trevallion and FallFromGrace did exactly that. The road grill worked very well for us, and the burgers I cooked turned out pretty well.

Then we had a fire and Lankakitten and Bluetrust showed up. FallFromGrace talked with a passably cute girl. Some idiots played a game that seemed to consist of throwing a bunch of balls near each other and then walking to where you threw and then repeating the process by throwing toward where you were just standing.

We packed the Suicide Grill up, said our goodbyes, and headed home. It was a pretty good day.

Now then, I need some aspirin, some moisturizer on my face, and some sleep. Take care out there.

Baby steps Null. He gets slingshot, we get guns. He gets rifle, we get Super Soakers. We'll see where it goes from there.
