I worked from seven in the morning until midnight today. Somewhere in the middle of being the calm, prepared, effective one at work and the steady, strong, understanding one for someone I care about and the wise, perceptive, sensible one for the people that rely on my advice, I let someone else down and missed something I'd been intending to do for months and talking about for weeks.
She's mad at me, and I don't blame her. I've never failed someone I care about like this before, and I don't know how to deal with myself right now.
