I worked from seven in the morning until midnight today. Somewhere in the middle of being the calm, prepared, effective one at work and the steady, strong, understanding one for someone I care about and the wise, perceptive, sensible one for the people that rely on my advice, I let someone else down and missed something I'd been intending to do for months and talking about for weeks.
