• A sandwich crafted by the father of a famous TV chef from hand-cured, traditional Italian meats; fresh organic peppers and onions; and single-herd, handcrafted cheese on a homemade roll.


• Mango smoothies from that place where the owners see you coming and have your drink partially made before you even get in the door.


• Seeing one of your favorite rap stars on the street, telling him his last album was off the chain, and having him say, "Right on."


• Teaching an Indy 500 winner how to use his cellphone.


• Grooving quietly to the new Modest Mouse.


• Knowing that someone you like is listening to music you pointed him to or thinking about food you introduced her to.


• Bending your stiff neck to admit to someone you think she's the bee's knees and watching an equally stiff neck bend just enough to learn that you may be the cat's pajamas.
