Tonight on null:

After a hard day of loafing about and playing on the internet, null goes grocery shopping at Pasta & Co., a tiny chain of gourmet pasta and takeout shops native to Seattle. Fixings for dinner in hand, he returns home to enjoy a late, long shower. Perfectly clean, he cooks dinner. The entree is pesto tortellini (fresh basil puree with pinenuts and feta cheese) with creamy tomato garlic sauce (red wine, cream, tomatoes, and garlic). This he accompanies with fresh, hearty olive rolls (with chunks of kalamata olives baked in) with fresh cultured butter from Beecher's Cheese (fresh and light like no other butter) and San Pellegrino water. Dessert is a fresh serving of tiramisu accompanied with a bottle of Afri-Cola. Sated, the beast retires to chatting with friends and watching Scent of a Woman.

Once again, he finds himself musing that his life isn't all that bad. Hoo-ah!

Kind of gamey, much like venison or horse. Good, though. I made it topped with stewed figs. I've been very into cooking meat with fruit lately.

Ugh. I've been staring at the same damned page for over an hour now, and I've written a whopping two sentences. I'd love to be one of those writers who are, well, incredibly prolific. Those writers generally don't have soul-sucking day jobs, though.

When I was a child, I was knocked down and trod upon by a horse, so I had no problem eating them while I was living in Germany.
