I got it. I'm moving to LA in about 3 weeks. They're paying to relocate me and everything. I'm fucking ecstatic.

I'll be working a 9/80 schedule which means I'll have a 3 day weekend every other week. And I'll be making good money again, so I'll probably be visiting a lot.

yeah, it seems a little ridiculous but i switch back and forth. In your settings page you can switch back to HTML albums, link pics from the album, and then switch back, ... or not. Whatever you want. I switch back because, (for me) the pictures load faster in flash. And the slideshow doesn't stall at all in flash. Sometimes in HTML, the slide show moves on before a pictures fully loads and that's no fun.

There probably IS a way to link to pics using the flash player, but i don't know it yet.
