I worry sometimes about my baby boy, he is my only child and I don't have a close comparison to his development. I worry that he should be farther along. But then he turns around and shows me how smart he is.
A study was recently published that increased the odds of a child being Autistic from 1 in 150 to 1 in 100. He does not communicate well often, granted he is 18 months old but his vocabulary should be a little larger than just [ba]nana, and apple. the rest are grunts and babble, intelligible very often but not the words he is being taught. I rant to get it out his mother is weeks ahead of me on this and can't wait for February to get his Cognitive functions tested. We shall see.
He loves me and that makes me happy, him too. That should be enough for me.
