I like the new job folks. Maybe I'm just cold hearted but after the first week I'm kinda over missing the folks at the old office. But I'll see them all tomorrow at their fundraiser. Live bands and brew, I can hang widdit. The Beastie Boys are doing a suprise show at the 9:30 club that night. I tried to get tickets, oh did I try. I'm not bitter though (yeah right). The fundraiser will be fun.
The Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill was one of my first music purchases. I'll admit that Duran Duran was my first, but the Bboys, man they've been doing this since like 83 at least. How the hell am I so old that there is a rap group that I listen to that is 21 years old. Hip Hop has been around that long! Shit I'm no spring chicken, but time flys man. The world now contains middle aged rappers. I for one think it's a good thing. Can't wait until they have the hip hop nursing homes, that'll be the spot for me when my time comes.
