Hello. Where have I been you may ask? After finals I went and got myself a new job. I'll be learning more complicated aspects of immigration law and litigation support AND earning a lot more money. Additionally, I don't have to manage a non-profit size case load of voice mail leaving, five calls a day clients. So I'm going to a private firm, I guess I sold out. No selling out would be corporate law, not criminal/immigration. Here's the kicker though, I still don't have to wear a suit yet, HA! Titiano 1, Fate 0. Only one Memorial Day shortened week to go in the non profit world.

The law review competition sucked. The topic was entirely fascinating to me, but I just don't care that much about being on law review to have put the time and effort necessary to write a really good paper. In fact, what I turned in was probably some of the worst work I've ever done. But once I started, I felt this obligation to finish. And I did finish. Just with nothing I would want turned in for a grade, that's for damn sure. Glad to hear that you were happy with your finals grades. We don't get ours for another month or so. Since I had been really unhappy with my thoroughly mediocre grades first semester, I worked my ass of this time, and walked out of the tests feeling much more confident. We're on an incredibly strict curve though, so I could very well have ended up tanking in comparison to everyone else.
It is good to have a significant other outside of the law world, huh? The only time I dated a law student was when I was in college. I don't want to date anyone that's part of my everyday world. I like that the boyhas no legal knowledge whatsoever, though i think he gets a little intimidated when I start going off on a legal analysis of some random news item we happen to be discussing. Can't help it at this point though - it's the way my brain works.
