For those of you who don't know the importance of midnight movies in the 70's, please check out Midnight Movies: from the Margin to the Mainstream. It is a fantastic documentary about the midnight movies phenomenon and the movies that were the masterpieces of the "genre". The one that started it all was El Topo, by Jodorowski, the same director that Annika paid hommage to.
