My last adventures: a fantastic band called Dreadful Shadows, a book called Contigo Torno-me Real, launched yesterday at Fnac, Lisbon and a frustrating night at a local bar in Lisbon, called Tuatara.
Dreadful Shadows are an amazing band. They're old school goth rockers although there are some metal influences here and there. But not so many, contrary to other gothic bands. Here is a picture from the band, taken from the net:

and a song called "Craving" played live on Amphie (hope the name is allright lol)
in one or two musics, they reminded David Sylvian and the sweetness of his songs. Hope you like it, as I did.
Another think I did in the last days was going to a book presentation. The book is called Contigo Torno-me Real and it is an amazing biography of the Doors (
), written by a portuguese with a lot of interviews, articles written by the people who worked with Jim, members of the band, fans, musicians, etc, etc. It is amazingly written and it can become a kind of gospel to all the Doors fans all over the world. The book presentation was great and we have some music too, played by Gary Lucas and Darryl Read, who came to Portugal to play some Jimmy's songs. I am so sad that I had not lived in San Francisco and be a friend of Jim! It was really an amazing era and a lot of poetry, music, cinema, art was done. Not only Jim Morrison, but also the Velvets, which is one of my favourite bands of the sixties. I hope someday my (future) poetry book is translated into american english and published by Laurence Ferlinghetti's book publisher.
If it is done someday, I will invite all of you to go to my presentation. I hope it will be in San Francisco. Ah, but that's only a dream. First, I must be known in my own country blah!
Here is "The End", my favourite song from The Doors:
.
It is amazing how they can improvise in such a brillant way. They were superb!
After the book presentation, I and a friend of mine decided to go to a fantastic place called Tuatara. It is a kind of club/artistic bar. In that place, they do meditation, yoga, creative writing courses and, lately, some techno and trance shows. Yesterday, it was a techno show and it was so boring but so boring I had to come home early. No one was dancing, no one was interesting (except the people from the bar
). No goddam interesting boy or girl to talk or to see. Just a bunch of high class teens without sense of lunacy and craziness. Just boring people, that's all.

to all of you
