Yesterday, it was Cefalopode's night. Cefalopode is a small jazz bar near So Jorge Castle and it is a wonderful place to go out with friends. All the employees are fantastic, with no exception and the music is excellent. Yesterday, the show was called "Statues" and it was a kind of mixture between jazz and contemporary dance. Federica Porello, the dancer, is a graduating student at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Art Research and Training Studios) at Brussels and has been showing a theater solo called "Nothing Loses Something".
"Statues" has been developped with Ilan Manouach, a greek (i think?) saxophonist. He has been playing with WE LOVE YOU, a trio of improvised musicians, MILA MAPU, a mixture between jazz and afro-cuban rhythms, JIVE TIME, and FRAP, a group which was influence by rap music and free jazz. Besides all that, he is a comics drawer as well.
