I saw something beautiful today.
A woman, long straight dark hair, working in a flower shop in a mall. Arranging flowers, handing them to customers, with a smile on her face and a lighthearted demeanor. In front of her counter stood a flat small chalkboard, written on it was "Special Roses $6 Tulips," in lavender, pistachio, and mauve. The vibrant colors of the flowers stood out against the brown stone walls and floor. This small room, in the mall, lined with flowers, was beautiful. It wasn't the flowers that were beautiful, nor was it the girl selling them, and neither was it the blackboard with the special written on it in those soft, pastel-like colors; it wasn't the smiles, the lightheartedness with which she worked, the nods of the customers, the small talk that passes between two people idly engaged in a transaction. It was the whole scene, the girl, the flowers, the blackboard, the smiles, the small talk, the lightheartedness, every aspect of this scene made it beautiful; if even one was to be taken away, it's luster would decrease significantly.
My father was there with me, I love my father more than any other human being, ever.
