On chapter 10 of Ninja Gaiden so far. It's both frustrating and refreshing at the same time to play a game that actually takes skill to get through. Lots of it. Ninja Gaiden is a very tough game.
A Sega Saturn came in the mail for me today. It's in beautiful condition, with the box and even comes with a starter kit, which also has a box. It's got an RF switch, 2 controllers, some kind of extension cable thing, and a few games. Had a few laughs and got nostalgic playing Virtua Fighter 2 earlier. I miss Sega. Toejam and Earl, Streets of Rage, Sonic The Hedgehog, Shinobi. Sega rocks, Even the Saturn is great, but it's horribly underrated. I'm gonna get Nights Into Dreams with the 3d controller pad soon I hope.

I went outside a few minutes ago and was breathing in the night air and I heard a train passing and saw silverish colored clouds pass over the moon. I wonder if any of us have ever breathed the same molecules of air before. It's not entirely unlikely, is it??

Day 6(I think), and I've still only had one beer in that time. Quitting is going fairly well, but it's been very hard to sleep. I've only had one decent night of sleep since I quit drinking.

There's a man in a subway station wearing a blue almost 70s like business suit. He looks like Spike from Cowboy Bebop, but he lacks the finesse. He throws his newspaper into the trash bin and gets on the train. He's an observer. There's a kid with her mom talking about going to a theme park sometime in the future. There's an old man sitting in a seat a few feet down the train. He must be one of those underground dwellers, one of those people who seem to live in the Subway. He must be really familiar with the guys outside who play music for people's pocket change. Maybe the old guy realizes how these people live. They love something with such ferocity that they forget everything else. This old man in the subway, he's a trooper, because he doesn't care.
The train stops at the stop that is famous for college kids. A couple of them get on making perverted jokes and laughing about nothing. Then there's always the straggler. The guy in the blue suit was the straggler. Some college kid gets on with headphones on and a hood over his head and sits in the back corner of the car. The guy in the blue suit knows exactly how the kid feels. He's got that hood over his head to shield himself from the rest of the world. Talk about introversion. The guy in the blue suit goes over and sits next to the kid. As expected, the kid acts like he doesn't notice but on the inside he's trying his best to avoid any eye contact with Mr. Blue suit.
"Let me listen to that."
"You sure?? You might not like it," the boy replies meekly.
"I want to hear it."

Complete silence. Blue suit's favorite album.

I just got Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, so I put a hold on Ninja Gaiden so far. I was at the tank....but it was Tank 4, Ninja 0.

I will probably get back into it after I am done with The Twin Snakes...which will be pretty soon. I am breezing throuh that game like the wind in over here in Chi-town. Hell, I have only had the game less than 24 hours and I am already passed the torture sequence.

If you like the old PSX version, you will like this one. It is pretty much the same, but with all these nice MGS II features. It will take a bit to get used to, but when you do, you will fly through the game. And while that can be a bad thing, it really doesn't feel like that it is. Besides, the presentation of the game is really well done, so you do feel like it was worth it.

Thanks for the warning on the tanks. I will get through somehow. And I know it will kill me, but I will get those old NES games...
