I had a wonderful day today.
After I got up I went outside and cleaned out my car. For some reason it was really refreshing. I've been neglecting video games a lot lately. It was refreshing to go outside and clean my car out. At first it was sunny but then it became fairly windy and overcast. Nice weather and I got something done that I've been meaning to do for a while.
--
I was driving in the rain yesterday. You know how in the rain when you drive behind someone the spray from their tires comes up in your windshield and blurs your visibility?? I had my wipers a little too low.
Here is what I noticed
If you have your wipers on lower than the situation requires, you appreciate the clearness that each swipe of the blades provides you more than when you have them going quickly.
I think life can be compared to that
If you have down times the good ones just seem so much better.
--
I've been neglecting video games and coming home early recently in hopes of having some interesting conversations with a couple interesting people.
Sometimes getting another viewpoint of your situation is what you really need.
--
Can anyone guess this song??

"Begin the day with a friendly voice,
A companion unobtrusive
Plays that song that's so elusive
And the magic music makes your morning mood.

Off on your way, hit the open road,
There is magic at your fingers
For the Spirit ever lingers,
Undemanding contact in your happy solitude.

Invisible airwaves crackle with life
Bright antennae bristle with the energy
Emotional feedback on timeless wavelength
Bearing a gift beyond price, almost free

All this machinery making modern music
Can still be open-hearted.
Not so coldly charted
It's really just a question of your honesty, yeah,
Your honesty.
One likes to believe in the freedom of music,
But glittering prizes and endless compromises
Shatter the illusion of integrity.

For the words of the prophets were written on the studio wall,
Concert hall
And echoes with the sounds of salesmen."

I went through a period where I really liked Rush. Not so much anymore. Odd.

I much prefer the Dustin Hoffman Hero. A bit of a cloying, manipulative movie, but it worked for me.
