Busy, busy, busy this weekend.
Friday after work it started with a great big tasty steak and a customer service scuffle out with my roommate sumbich84. I remain steadfast in my opinion good customer service is dead in America today. The only thing keeping my mood buoyant was that for the first time in months I had a weekend with ZERO work obligations.
Saturday I woke up early and had my time wasted by strangers who can not seem to accurately represent what they have for sale. I blame the internet. After some rest it was off to meet lancelac and Syrrys for a 'high speed' drive to the Three Floyds brewery where we enjoyed good chili, good beer, a great tour, fantastic pizza and more better beer. After our early start at the brewery we returned to the city, deposited lancelac, picked up kiki michelle and her man and headed to Holiday Club to be waited upon by thanise01. Showing amazing moderation for me I went home early and amazingly close to sober after long discussions about nationalized health care and my general apathy regarding society.
Sunday brought around a lazy brunch and to many hours of bad movies form the couch.
Who would have thought that a man who stared in a movie with an orangutan would eventually become an Oscar winning director? Not that you can really go wrong with apes, bare knuckle violence and, bleak 70's humor
As much as I love Philo Beddoe and crew I have to admit that Magnum Force was a much better movie...
This time the bleak 70's cinema is punctuated by gun violence, a smarmy detective and the big screen debut of Robert Urich.
Follow that up with a late taco lunch to catch up with an old friend and a night at Quenchers with thanise01, Oxalis, Lotusmonger,ScarletAmethyst, Obelisk and NinjaProdigy you round out a damn fine weekend. Sadly my fortitude was not as strong as the night before resulting in a 'slow' morning today. I blame thanise01 and her apparent one woman war on moderation.
Lord knows it couldn't have been my own fault
Sadly things could not continue that good into the week. After a less then stellar start this morning we lost a fairly big project at work. On one hand I am kind of glad I do not have to face the nightmare this thing promised to be but on the other the loss of revenue is not good... I am going to have to hustle my ass off to make up the lost revenue before year end.
Meh, I have made up for worse.
