My assessment of the Vortex in L5P:
They pour a shite pint of Guinness, but I cannot find fault with the ginormous bowl of tater tots. biggrin
But the peops were there and we had a great time, even though we didn't actually get around to throwing down on the other end of the table.
We so would have kicked ass, all the really evil people were on our end.
I ran into an old friend for the second time in a week, which made me happy. He was amused by the fact that when I saw him last weekend he was in 'daddy' mode with his absolutely adorable son, drinking lemonade, last night he was drunk with a friend. I am glad to see that he is doing well, he's one of the people I always wanted to stay in touch with.
Tonight is Clerks at the LeFont Plaza and since I have never seen it on the big screen, I am psyched.
I am glad that I have been getting out more and meeting more people, I need that.
If I hadn't just repinkified my hair, I would be out playing in the rain right now. I love the rain. But the hair is still too fresh, it would drip pink everywhere.
What do you do for someone who is hurting when you can't make them feel better?

infinity:
Guinness is an interesting beer since it is still a bit microbially active (yeast bacteria from the fermentation to make it) in the finished form. unless the place really pushes Guinness and you see people drinking it i'd avoid getting it on tap due to said microbial activity making the fermentation continue and things be not so good. getting it in cans is fine though due to the way theyre sealed up and all.

good ol luckykittyfooofoo!!! I always think of the quote from Woddy Allen's Play it Again Sam when he's trying to impress Keaton:

"I love the rain. It washes memories from the sidewalk of life".

Let the person know help is there when thye need it, but don't push. Sometimes people have to make their own way.
