I am trying really really hard not to freak out.

My father's father (I don't even think of him as my grandfather because I never knew him at all) died when my father was 3 from a congenital heart defect.
My father died when he was 41 from a congenital heart defect.
This defect is a male-linked genetic trait.
My younger brother (7 years younger than me, my favorite family member by far, I practically raised him) quit drinking more than five years ago and lives a relatively healthy lifestyle.
He hasn't been feeling well since I was in NJ in March, at that time he had a chest infection and was prescribed antibiotics. He still isn't feeling well so he went back to the doctor who doesn't know what is wrong with him and scheduled some bloodwork and an ekg.
Since my father died, my brothers heart has been a huge concern to me. He's 28 years old and I really want everything to be ok.
But I am so scared.

heart problems are scary
according to my doctor i dont' have heart problems...but my mom's sister had heart problems at my age and my mom has high blood pressure...
apparently i have neither
but back in january i was having chest pains and they were really scaring me..which i guess led to panic attacks...which also feel like a heart attack..
and just last night I had the same thing..and I felt like I was going to pass out
it's not fun
but my thoughts are with you and your brother
