Time Keeps on Slipping

The Walgreen's at the corner started stocking Halloween candy a week and a half ago and tonight Nightly Business Report informs me that there are only 131 shopping days until Christmas.

Now it was just a little while ago I remember text-messaging a girl I was interested in to see if she was available to do anything on a recent holiday and thinking the summer was shaping up to be pretty good. That was Memorial Day, the girl turned out to never be eager for anything all summer long, and now it's mid-August. Dammit anyway.
