Foaming At The Mouth
The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of
Monday are a busy day for me. I do about an hour of lifting (leg muscles) and another half hour of cardio. Then I go to a different gym and do an hour of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So I'm walking home from the second gym, heading thru the residential area just northwest of Old Town, and by now I'm pretty gassed for the day. I'm not feeling bad but not particularly good, either. Then I get to Wells Street, right outside Kamehachi, and for whatever reason, I look to the upper floors of the building across the street. On the second floor, in the windows facing the street, someone has thought to hire a painter (or do it themselves, but it looked professional) to paint a simple sign in three of the windows facing the street: "Spade and Archer Private Detectives"
God, how that made my day. That there's somebody in the neighborhood with the wit for such a move and the desire to go to the trouble of doing it. It did my heart such good.

edit: I just noticed that you have "The Kennel Murder Case" listed as one of your favorite films. That's the detective one that William Powell did before he started the Thin Man series, right? I remember that it was really good.
