Yeah, having the flu or food poisoning sucks. I usually never get sick, so a few years back when I ended up with food poisoning (still not positive if this was the case, might have been a flu bug), it was pure hell for a good day or two. I remember one night where I literally could not sleep because my stomach hurt so bad. I couldn't even keep a small amout of water down, it was horrible. Luckily I have a pretty decent immune system, so rarey do I get that sick. Coincidently, I think i'm might be coming down with a minor cold. Hopefully it doesn't develop into anything.

As far as Bush is concerned, I pity most the people in this country for being duped in all of the most obvious ways more than him. Being the fall guy in his case may make half of America hate him, but he'll still have plenty of undeserved money and power for the rest of his life. But I certainly do not disagree with you in any way either.

you are correct....they are using reals now. if you look through the history of brazilian money you'll see they changed the name of their currency about 10 times in the past 75 years.

I'm well aware it's not about how much I weigh, but 200 pounds is my target weight just because I know I have at least 5-10 pounds of fat that is extraneous and needs to go.

I really love "Morning Glory" too. That scene (I think it's near the beginning) where she's at some diner, looking really sad, it just gets to me. It's really hard not to fall in love with Hepburn in that role. Have you seen the Susan Strasberg remake? It's titled "Stage Struck." It's pretty good too.

yeah, you are dead-on about tv. baked or sober, if you do much channel surfing you'll see some crazy stuff. what about those spanish language channels? those odd game shows. You mentioning 70's Scifi and soap operas got me thinking of that old show Dark Shadows. I think it was from the sixites, but it qualified as both Science Fiction and Soap Opera. Very weird and very atmospheric. Talking about cable access reminds me that they used to show weird Karoake on local tv where I used to live. It was the oddest thing, they would have people sing karoake in front of blue screens with famous locales from around town (I lived in Napa, California at the time) on them. it was funny, but it just struck me as odd.

*cheer* for college football, I fucking love it. As I told you at the BBQ I am a big NU fan, but also a closet Michigan fan (had a girlfriend at Mich Law way back when and went to every home game for two years). In addition, growing up in FLA, I root for the Gators as well (and hence hate FSU & Miami). Only 2 days til it all begins.

Catch any of the NU opener on Thursday? The Defense looked pretty impressive, although I don't know if Miami is the yardage machine they were a few years back. The offense seemed pretty weak, all run, no pass. At least they won!
