[brick] by [brick], as stones bludgeoned the walls.
the skies had never seen such a day.
the winds held a
careless
disregard as they swept away
the
sounds
and
souls
of times past.
friends became foes
in the wake of
utter d e v a s t a t i o n.

this poem meant a lot to me for a long time.
i've only shared it with one close friend.
it may not seem like much, but writing it was cathartic.
i don't really do poetry often, so when i do it usually relates to some dramatic event in my life.

the things is, i don't need it anymore.
so i expell it onto the interweb in hopes of never wanting it back.




there is something about my face i can't even recognize anymore.
