So unfortunately my USB ports were not magically fixed. Looks like I might be making a trip to Best Buy soon to see how much it would cost to fix it or being buying a new laptop...either way I'm not really looking forward to it.
Friday night I went to the movies with my cousin Ryan and my close friend Scarlett. We went and saw She's Out of My League. I was actually happy with the movie. I was surprised to see that they didn't show all the funny parts on the commercial. There is a great life lesson in the movie that I think my cousin was deeply hit by...You're a ten if you think you are a ten...so in other words be comfortable in who you are, don't sell yourself short. We ate at Steak and Shake which was of course delicious, and like always I ate the most. Then on the way home me and Ryan had a life discussion. He is very much a debbie downer and it's actually really annoying to have him around me because I try to remain positive...so pretty much that's what we told him. I also had to tell him that he doesn't need someone to make him happy, that it's very possible to be happy on your own and then eventually find that special person that you can share your happiness with. Let's see if he takes any of it to heart.
Last night my parents took me out to eat, it was delicious, we just ate at Pizza Hut. I had contemplated telling them about the Guard over dinner, but decided to hold off until after I talk to a recruiter and make my final decision. Also, last night was my first party of Spring Break! It was actually a blast, I'm really glad I went. I connected with so many people I lost touch with. I dominated at beer pong or should I say Vodka Pong. I did the stanky leg all night...and tried to teach a few others. I hung out with my greatest friend. It was just a damn good night of being out...and I needed a night like that. It did however suck because I was out until 3am, technically 2am but the times changed...and I had to be up by 10 to get my son...I wasn't hung over just very tired.
Then today, when I walked through my son's room on my way downstairs I see my dad transitioned his crib into a toddler bed. So I was pretty excited about that (especially considering that he flipped out of his crib a few nights ago.). Then when my son came home he immediately ran to box that I did not see that was full of toys...while I was sleeping this morning my sister had brought some toys she had at her house. It was like Christmas morning for him. So I thought today was going to be a good day, boy was I wrong. We were suppose to have a cook out at my brother's house and I was giving my monster a bath, well somehow he had slipped and smacked his mouth up against the side of the tub. His teeth took a huge chunk of his bottom lip out, there was blood everywhere and he was crying and screaming. I felt so terrible for him. Yes, just to make it clear I was in the bathroom with him, he just slipped quicker than I could grab him. So I grabbed him out of the tub and wrapped him in a towel, he was still bleeding. It was absolutely terrible. After, it finally quit bleeding he wouldn't take the towel off his lip because he didn't like how his lip felt. It wasn't deep enough for stitches so we just wiped it out and stayed home. Well about three hours later he kept trying eat and it would just burst open so we decided to take him to the ER to see if there was anything we could do. They had to hold him down while they scrubbed it clean and then they put a DERMABOND tissue glue on it to keep it shut. Luckily, he started eating and drinking and talking more after that. I'm hoping with in a few days he will be better. On a good note though he is sleeping in his toddler bed. I hope he does alright with it and doesn't get out and wander around his room (I have baby gates in the door ways since he can now open doors).
Man oh man I believe it is time for bed, I hope everyone had a fantastic day!

f1ssure:
wow, megablog. Glad you had a pretty good weekend until the monster got hurt. It doesn't seem too bad - kids heal quickly so I'm sure he'll be fine in no time. Have a great day.
