Roughly thirteen hours, 317 miles and two parking tickets later I am back home safely.
The concert was fucking outstanding. Some of the SGChicago clan was there and I got to see them which was cool. Make me wish I could get down there more often. I got to chat with Miss Roxy Epoxy herself...I gave her a bunch of SG stickers that I had on me. I also got to talk to the lead singer from the Groovie Ghoulies....I love the Ghoulies so fucking much. We chatted for a couple minutes and I asked him about the cover song they had played, he gave me a copy of the cd that it is on. Lastly, I got to chat with the lead singer of the Vexers for a couple of minutes too, she warned us that Double Chocolate Yohoo is something to stay far away from....wouldn't that make a great PSA?
So, yeah, all in all, good fucking night. On the down side....I found out the Riverdales show is tomorrow. I had been trying to get out of work early tomorrow so I could go down. Upon finding out it was cancelled I figured, well, at least I can work my whole shift rather than just part. Then I get home and there's a message from my boss that someone is picking up the whole shift for me rather than just part
I could have stayed in Chicago overnight! Now I have to try and get some hours whether it be stealing my shift back or just appearing for the dinner rush.
On the very,very, deep down side....two fucking parking tickets. I got one when I was at my sister's. I got another when I was at the Fireside. Each of them for $50 and according to the back they need to be paid within 7 days. I don't live in Illinois.....maybe I should just ignore them....what's the worst that can happen?
