I watched them topple the statue of Saddam in the Baghdad city square this afternoon. Seeing the people rejoice and dance on top of the statue made me reconisder my attitude toward this war. My strongest reason for thinking that this war is bad is that it isn't our country and therefore none of our fucking business. The $80,000,000,000 we are spending on this war so far could have been put to some very good use in our own country. Plus this does set an awful precedent that it is ok to go into a foreign nation and take out their leader if you don't agree with his policies and even if the UN does not support you. But, maybe I am backing off a bit now, not completely, but some. I still think all of that is true, but at the same time if these people are that happy that he is gone maybe we have done some good. Of course, that mostly depends on who comes to power in Iraq next.


So, while I was working tonight I was talking to one lady that works with me and she told me the most blatant and absurd double standard ever. She thinks that two guys being together is unnatural, but that two women being together is ok. How fucked up is that? What's the fucking difference? Now, to top it off, this woman who was telling me this left her husband a few years ago and now lives with her girlfriend and all of their kids like a modern day alterno-Brady Bunch. So, she is a lesbian and she is telling me that gay men are unnatural, but lesbians are ok because they are more accepted. I just don't get some people.

I'm going to rock out to the Epoxies tomorrow night. Friday night I am going to rock out to the Epoxies and the Groovie Ghoulies. Saturday night (if I can manipulate the schedule at work) I am going to rock out to the Riverdales et al. Fun, fun, fun.....
