I have decided to be finished with school
Last year I decided to bump my English minor up to a major. So, for the last year I have been retaking some classes I did poorly in and taking Lit classes to get the major fulfilled. I am sick of being in this town though. I am sick of being at this school. I need to be finished. So, the only class that I need is a stupid computer class. I am going to drop the two classes that I have this semseter that are not retakes. I'm going to ace the other three classes. Then I am going to take the computer class in spring semester and GRADUATE(!) in June or July when that semester ends. Then come August I am off for god knows where. I need to go somewhere that it doesn't snow much if at all and that has a baseball team within an hour or so.
As an aside, I got into another argument with my teacher today. Last Tuesday he misrepresented Plato and I corrected him and had to bring the Complete Works in and show him the passages which prove him wrong. Today he used the word "pusillanimous" and asked if anyone knew what it meant. I was the only one of 50 or so who raised my hand. He asked me what it means and I said "Cowardly". He told me I was wrong and that it means "someone who is easily beaten up or bullied". So I got more specific and said that it meant "Weak or Cowardly". Then I just backed downn because it wasn't worth arguing about. So, I got home and checked my dictionary and it says "weak, cowardly"! See, I was fucking right, why do teachers argue with me? I choose my battles wisely, I don't argue unless I know I am right, why do they always argue with me? Anyway....off to Art History....I am seat #44! Maybe he will actually show up this time.
