So, in case you are unaware, Sorcha and I are big dorks. We were chatting online and I wanted to order from Domino's and she was going to order from Papa John's. Since she and I live only two blocks or so from each other, we thought it would be fun to have the drivers race (my idea, thanks very much). We called at exactly the same time. I got put on hold for three minutes or so, she got to place her order right away. Twenty five minutes or so later I was typing "the Domino's guy just pulled in" as she was tying "the Papa John's guy just rang the door bell". So, for those who are keeping track....Papa won by a few seconds but only because I was on hold for so damn long.

Curiously, we both used to work for both companies. I worked for Domino's for three and a half years or so in Saginaw and for the Papa for seven and a half here. She worked about two years or so at each, the Papa here (where we met lo those many years ago.....) and Domino's when she wasn't here.

Sadly, this little race was by far the most exciting event of my day....then again, maybe that isn't so sad it is merely a testament to the fact that I have spent the entire day doing abso-fucking-lutely nothing!
