Hmmm. Seems like it's been awhile since I've updated this. Holy crap.
So....new things since February. Wow, February was the last time I wrote anything on here.
I took a new position at work. That was in April. Instead of being the assistant at the downtown location I've taken over running the store that serves the University of Cincinnati. It's been crazy. For the most part I enjoy the job, but I work an ass-ton of hours. I've been super understaffed as of late. (If any of you in or near Cincinnati know someone who wants to deliver pizzas for a living, let me know!) Things are getting better here. I've done a ton of hiring. But we expanded our delivery area and the students came back so we're insanely busy. My bosses seems quite happy though.
The girlfriend and I are still happily in love. We are officially living together. I turned in my keys at my apartment downtown back at the end of September. I'd already been slowly moving all of my stuff in over the course of the last few months, but finally got the last of it out and got the place clean about a week and a half ago.
She's awesome. This is the best thing ever. It's so strange sometimes to think about the path that lead us here. We met in 1991, lost touch in 1996ish, reconnected in 2005ish, lost touch shortly thereafter.....then October 5, 2012 we start talking again, a year later here we are. Weird to think what she's meant to me over the course of the last 22 years and what she means to me now.
This Sunday we're planning on going to the SG Burlesque. Should be awesome. The venue is just a couple miles up the road from us, so that's cool. I remember going to the first burlesque tour that SG did. That was a goddamn fun night. A group of us from SGKalamazoo drove over to Detroit for it. This time the girlfriend and I will go together. I think it's awesome of her to go. I doubt I'll even know anyone at the show. I spend so little time on here these days. I recently passed my 12 year mark as an SG member. Wow. So many changes.
Not sure how I feel yet about the total redesign of the site. Mostly I just don't care. I honestly just barely use the site anymore and the functionality and design of it aren't terribly important to me. I think back to the last couple times they did a complete overhaul.....the site was super fucking important to me back then and a huge part of my life.....the changes mattered. Now, not so much. This site will always, always, always be special to me....but its place in my life has certainly shifted over the last dozen years.
Anyway. Suppose that's enough for now. Hope y'all are well. I miss you guys. I miss the community aspects of this site. I miss the camaraderie. I just don't have a ton of time for it any more. I'm still around a bit....I check my messages and such.
