Well, I just finished giving my statement to the police.....

No good story can start with that line.....

I happened to walk outside to have a smoke about fifteen minutes ago. As I was lighting up I saw some kids yelling back and forth from a porch across the street to some kids on the sidewalk. The kids on the sidewalk rushed the porch. They threw some furniture at the door after the kids on the porch went inside. Then they left. But then the kids inside decided to come back out and chase them down saying they wanted a "one on one" fight. The two kids who had been on the porch headed in opposite directions chasing the kids from the sidewalk. The one kid who headed North caught up with two of the sidewalk kids and started fighting. He ended up getting stabbed multiple times in the back. My street is awash with flashers right now as the cops try to figure out exactly what happened. The neighbor kid got taken away in an ambulance, I hope he will be alright. He and I were far from friends, but he seems like a good kid. I heard the cops already caught the kid who allegedly stabbed him.

Why do drunk people make such poor decisions? Anyway, I need to sleep now because I work early tomorrow and yet I just saw a kid I know laying on his stomach covered in his own blood that was gushing from stab wounds to his back.......
