Book one of my between semester reading is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I expected it to be boring and annoying, but damn am I loving it. A friend of mine and I are going to go see the movie next week.
After reading my essay on Hemingway for my Modern Lit class, my teacher took it upon himself to send me a chapter of his dissertation dealing with a similar topic. He thought I might find it interesting. I haven't read it yet, but it's cool to think that he thought enough of me to send it. I sometimes catch myself worrying whether I am cut out for grad school, but things like this make me worry less.
Today is my first real day off. The semester is over and I am not scheduled to work. So, I have the whole day to do absolutely anything I want....I mean, within reason. I think I am going to finish watching Scenes From a Marriage and read more Austen.....sounds like a good time, right?
