Cinco De Mayo - this ought to be the easiest holiday on the calendar to remember but somehow maybe cause it's in spanish I always forget.
Seattle is having it's first annual Cinco De Mayo festival down by the piers but that sounds like family oriented entertainment and I am looking for something more adult. The Century Ballroom is having a big salsa dancing night with Cambalache, but that sounds a little too adult for me. Maybe I should just head down to Pioneer Square and stumble around drunk from bar to bar, muttering in spanish.
I really do love dancing- its been a passion of mine ever since I first got drunk and then got over my fear of it. Over the years I did enough entheogens and entactogens that I eventually became damn good at it. But with a catch- as a raver/clubber somewhere along the line I forgot how to dance with a partner. Well it was by choice- everyone has their own style and its difficult to get two people to jive well together and not look like rhinos mating. Conventional dancing overcomes this by implementing a style for both partners that they follow. But I'm not one to follow a style imposed on me- I like to do my own thing.
So maybe I ought to give salsa a try for a night. It can't be that hard to learn. And if nothing- I want to remember what it was like to dance as a pair. All I need now is a partner- any takers out there?

Salsa might be funny though
I must suck or something cause both of the girls I called to see if they wanted to go to salsa called me back within 5 mins of each other to tell me they weren't feeling well. So no salsa for me last night- instead my roommates and I went to the Garage for some good ole fashioned billiards and beer drinking.
