Tonight I am off doing peer education and drug councelling for queer youth, with DanceSafe. This was sort of a trade-off as originally I had been wanting to work most of Seattle HempFest. But I chose to be on setup crew for Bluehouse at Burning Man and so I am leaving early and will unfortunately be missing HempFest.
So it looks like I might be the new chairperson for DanceSafe Seattle. I have been filling in for the role temporarily for the last 4 months. Last night the question was put out in our meeting as to who would be stuck with the job permanently and everyone pointed to me.
I don't know how I feel about that. I originally picked up the reins because I couldn't bear to see things fall apart. But this was more out of necessity than desire. I'd gladly step aside if anyone wanted the position. But no one seems to so everyone is content to let me continue.
