Incel leadership is apparently making strides in redefining heterosexuality. According to the daily dot, incel celebrity Nick Fuentes recently went on a rant defending his status as an involuntary celibate, saying,

“gay people do date girls all the time … All these gay people are coming out and saying, ‘I’ve had more girlfriends than Nick. I’ve had sex with more girls than Nick …...

The Twitter Saga continues.

The whole blue checkmark fiasco must still be adversely affecting the platform. I logged on today and saw this:

This is so fucking hilarious. The Twitter Blue check mark feature was such an absolute failure that they had to come up with another way to help users identify legitimate business and brand accounts. “Pay $8,” he said. “It’ll be fine,” he

One of my favorite shows ever had the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the bill. It was at Coachella one year, and Tool was headlining that night. I love me some Tool, but their stage presence does nothing to excite me. What excited me about this night was a live performance by Massive Attack, who would play just before Tool. They would perform with a full...

Pre-Covid I went to 3-4 shows a month (I’m in my 50’s so no more pit for me) but find it exhausting now, 2-3 hours travel, parking, peopling yeesh.  That said, I still love a good show & I’m easing back into them.  My favorite bands are always great live performers, if not I quickly tire of them. Enjoy!

@skisby I’m in my 40s and going out is a whole thing, so I feel that. I’m way more selective about the shows I go to now, but likewise, I still love a good show.

It’s been a fun past couple of days surrounding the holiday, but at some point, things gotta resettle. And I need to get back to my writing.

I almost didn’t write tonight. The past few days have been a wild mix of booze and other illicit substances, shared with close friends across late nights, a hot tub, and a fire. Being present meant it was...

I’m fascinated by the occult.

I don’t mean the toxic positivity dressed up as new age pseudo-witchy love and light bullshit that gets thrown around. I mean the old school systems of spiritual study that have unlocked much of the symbolism prevalent in ancient mythology. I mean the tables of attribution that delineate connections between the various myths across different cultures. I mean angelology and...

I used to lead Silver Sneakers classes at a gym. There were a few formats that the gym and Silver Sneakers collaborated on to cover strength, cardio, and mobility, and I taught most of them. From day one in taking over the classes, I always talked about how yoga would be a great benefit to their overall physical health and blah blah blah.

Mind you,...

Right before quarantine settled over California, a friend and I were training for the Ragnar Trail series. We were focused on running the gnarliest trails we could find. One of my favorites, despite how much I struggled to run to the top, was Cucamonga peak. This peak lies in the shadow (not really but kind of) of Mount Baldy, which is the tallest peak in...

I fucking love this game.

This game has just the right blend of paranormal nightmare and arcane violence all dressed up in the garb of a grown street kid. And though the game largely takes place within the Oldest House, the imagery is hauntingly beautiful. And it doesn’t hurt that the main character gets to make use of all the arcane weird she comes across

Grab your beverage or cocktail of choice and pull up a chair. This is one wild ride.

Let’s talk about the Twitter meltdown, because that shit is hilarious. A whole goddamned platform with millions of users, creators, communities, and businesses on the verge of total collapse, and for what? Because some billionaire decided the whole thing would be better with him in charge?

Fucking grand....

I love that prompt when you first open the writing modal: “what’s on your mind?”

Turns out, a lot of nonsense is on my mind. And a lot of concern. A lot of juggling projects and concepts. A lot of iterating over past conversations and interactions, and then iterating over them again and again. A lot of wondering how I’ll spend my downtime or what...
