Not too long ago, I posted a thread on X about coffee rules, just to have a little fun with regard to the fact that coffee snobs can be, well, snobs about coffee.
Me being one of them, of course. Just kidding.
I fucking love coffee, and while I’m particular about how I take my own coffee, I really don’t care how anyone else takes theirs. Unless, of course, you drink cold brew.

It’s funny to me how people can be so militant about things that just don’t matter. How I take my coffee is my own business and doesn’t affect you; why should it bother you? Likewise, how you take your coffee is entirely up to you and doesn’t affect me. I’d be remiss to impose any kind of rules or expectations on you regarding your coffee when I would completely dismiss any you’d attempt to impose on me. To each their own, and we’d all be better off if we simply allowed it, and kept our strong opinions and practices to ourselves where it matters. If someone asks me about my coffee practices, I’m happy to share and discuss, but any hard judgment I may impart I do so jokingly. Unless, of course, your Starbucks order takes 5 minutes for one drink.
