I've already started planning paper topics for the final year. One involves the character Rorshach from Watchmen and Joseph Campbell. It revolves around my position that Rorshach is the hero of the story, if there is anyone that can be called the hero in Watchmen. Also I find a not so surprising coincidence in that Joseph Campbell often wrote about the hero with a thousand faces, but I see connections and interdependence in everything. So that should be fun. August has flown by. I can't believe school is coming up in a little over a week.

Heath Ledger is going to be the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins, which is known as The Dark Knight. I'm really skeptical about this, but skepticism has become second nature to me. Batman Begins exceeded my every expectation, so I'll give the director the benefit of the doubt. Besides, his last name is Nolan, so he can't be all stupid.

For once in a long time I have nothing in the world to complain about.

So I talked to my amorous interest last night. Let's call her Power Girl. I talked to Power Girl on the phone last night. As expected, it was pretty fulfilling. The phone reception was a little bad, but not enough to sully the joy of the evening for me. I'm still smitten, as one might expect, despite the discouraging questions of certain anonymous naysayers. I bought a book by the author Margaret Atwood that Power Girl recommended to me. It looks promising, so I'm excited about that as well.

Tomorrow is Friday, and Friday means I get paid, and getting paid is good, but there is nothing that I desire to spend money on. Quite a dilemma right?

Aside from brief reprieves of conversation with superheroines, I've been pretty fucking bored lately. I haven't been doing a whole lot this week other than working. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
