I'm interviewing the same band, Aneurysm, whose CD I just reviewed for New Noise. This is a show preview article for a local blog because the band is playing my home state of Connecticut next week. Psyched for this show. Enjoy.

Here's a feature I wrote late last year which finally ran a few days ago. The actual print magazine was pushed back from late September until about now because of difficulties beyond the staff's control. Enjoy.

Well, I know this comes a little late, so I hope everybody had a great New Year. Time to renew and refresh. This year I plan to finally get my anxiety under control. In addition, I also plan to finally start writing that novel, I've been telling people I was going to write. I have a few decent ideas. Will just have to find time,...

Here is my final review for the year. It's of a Denver, post hardcore band called Quits. If you like Planes Mistaken For Stars and Drive Like Jehu, you should like them. Also, already started work on the first round of articles for the new year. Rust never sleeps. Haha.

Here is my final music feature of the year on the band Cult Leader, to help preview a show they're doing in my home state. Enjoy.

I'm lucky because the other publication for which I write is putting the final touches on its year end issue (my features for that were passed in about a month ago), and will return next year. I'll need the break.  I put out a lot of content between the two, plus work a full time job on top of it. Need to focus a bit on me, and try to enjoy the holiday season despite working at a grocery store. Glamorous. Haha.

So here is one on The Cocky Bitches, which features Paul Leary from the Butthole Surfers as well as a femme fatale singer known as The Baroness. Weird, wild and awesome. Enjoy.

Here's a musical hybrid of hardcore, hip hop, industrial and horror movie soundtracks from Justin Pearson (The Locust, Dead Cross, Retox, Three One G record label) and producer Luke Henshaw (First Power Crew). Enjoy.

Here is an interview I did with the guitarist from Daughters. In it, I talk about them reforming and putting out new music. It's a bit long. Glad it's just running online, so they didn't have to cut much. Enjoy.
