One Week Down At Work

It's been a full week since I've returned to work because of the current global situation. Overall, it's been alright. The first few days I was a bit happy to be back, so that carried me. The last few have been more a grind. A lot as changed, and not all of it I like, but I'm willing to give it a try and see where it goes. Though, it's weird to think how some people haven't changed at all, and they're still as annoying as ever. Trying to not give them power, by letting them get to me, which can be difficult. But, I'm trying to follow my therapist's advice to just do my job, control what I can and don't get upset over things you can't control. They're going to train me to be a Prime Shopper (which is a person that picks up orders people put into the store and brings it to their cars), but it's all done by metrics and you're timed. So, if you don't keep up with it, you don't get the shifts. We'll see.

A lot of new faces in my department. Not too thrilled about that. So, we'll see. Some other things.

I mean, this whole thing helped me put things into perspective, so I know what is important and what isn't, so I'm trying to not sweat the small stuff. All I know is that if I'm not happy, I'll wait for opening in another department and pounce, and if that doesn't happen, I'll look to transfer to another store or even another company. Won't waste my time on being miserable.

Well, that's it. I have to be up early for work, so I'll see you all soon. Hope everybody is doing alright.
