This vacation has been much needed. I'm in school 4 to 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, and none of that would matter if I wasn't in a business program. I guess that's what happens when you decide to get a Bachelor degree in 9 months. It would all be over come the month of May. On a random note, everyone should buy the new Burst album called Origo. I won't even try to justify why you should do it...just do it, OK?
It's been really nice to see my family and friends. I have plenty of friends in Florida, but there's a difference between who you've known your whole life and who you've known for only a year or more, even if you spent over 40 hours a week with the latter. Sometimes spending about a year and a half with only 3 or 4 week long breaks makes me ask myself what the hell I was thinking. The one motivator to keep me going is the degree in my room, and the one that I'll have about 5 months from now. I've began to wonder if there's anyone else from my school on SG. There aren't a lot of students at my school when compared to a university, and we're definitely a rare breed. The cops in the area have been known to pull over and question our students while they're BIKING OR WALKING HOME...on the sidewalk at that. Given it's mostly been in the wee hours of the night, but our school runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I've had countless labs, in four hour sessions, from 1 am to 5am, 5am to 9am, only to go to class the next day like a normal student, but with four hour lectures. Also, the students from other schools in the area seem to have an awful disposition toward us (this excludes my new friend Katie
). To add to all the animosity, the general public around here seems to wish that my school didn't exist. It must have something to do with the accelerated programs and high tuition costs. They all think we're spoiled rich kids. HA!
Enough of the pity-party, though, right? I just had to vent. No reason to get upset.
Reasons for me to be happy:
- Winter Break
- Beer Thirty
- 2 new tats in the past two weeks
- Family
- The Battle Royale Triple-DVD Box Set I just bought with xmas money
- The Kurt Vonnegut and Aleister Crowley books I got for xmas.
- Live DVDs I didn't know existed and now own: Botch's last show, Faith No More, Krisiun....
- Birthday on the 1st, Hell of a party 2 days straight \m/
- DEATH METAL, ALWAYS DEATH METAL
See, now I'm not so pissed. It's amazing what can happen when you just throw on some Suffocation and think about all the good things in life. OK, I'll be off to take my siamese to the vet and most likely get drunk off of some highly-hopped IPA. BEER AND FOOSBALL TIL I PASS OUT!!!
I hope everyone else is having a great holiday season, and I wish all of you a happy new year!

What school do you go to? Maybe some people are jealous that you did what it took them four years to do. I just finished my first of four years
