Day six of the furniture market. I am officially more than halfway through and I can feel the momentum picking up. I got some great news: I placed a new bedroom in Rooms To Go's Texas stores. That's kind of a big thing in the furniture industry. Their opening order will be staggering. Everyone (including myself) was amazed. I should probably be more excited, but...

yeah dude, that's so lame. he kept stopping in miami and skipping over tampa though, so i never got to see him. damn it.

hahah, i posted that picture in the SGFL group as a suggestion for the new group picture, and they all cried like babies. i'm glad someone else gets it.

oh yeah, i keep recommending i ♥ huckabees, and it keeps disappointing people, which is totally disappointing.

that website is great, and i was totally feeling it and then they got all crazy and started talking about only having two time zones. apparently, i'm a square.

I'll be burning some CDs tomorrow for the CD swap group (check it out). What a great idea. Must give credit to Lorin for that one (she also deserves credit for her "Welcome to Florida" pic - hitting the nail on the head, to say the least).

Now: what to burn? Maybe the 25 most played on my iPod? Nah - too easy. Songs that...

Some pictures are now better, but I don't know if it was worth the effort.

Still at the Furniture Market. I didn't drink last night and felt better this morning... more positive. Buyers always want you to get loaded with them - especially when they know you'll be picking up the check. Cost of doing business, I guess, but it taxes my liver much more...

Thanks for the compliment and the offer. I may just take you up on that someday (I'll be heading east, so it could take a few months before I reach the Pacific.) Loved your family portrait. Seems like you and your's are doing it right. Kudos.
hopey:

I just uploaded all the damn photos and because I adjusted for size instead of color depth, most of the pics are too small. Crap.

I'm not going to adjust them all again. Maybe another day.

The new Millencolin album comes out tomorrow. I should receive it on Wednesday. I cannot wait to hear it. If it's half as good as "Home From Home," we are all in for a treat. Thank god for Sweden.

Maybe I will finally be able to get "Twilight" out of my head...

Another day at the Furniture Market. Another day in High Point. It's nearly unbearable.

The upside? The weather is beautiful. The downside? It's difficult to enjoy it from inside a showroom with no windows.

One more year... just one more year. By then I'll have more than enough saved to sail away from it all. I cannot wait.

I've spent too many years in the...

Wow. Three journal entries in one day. Boredom expresses itself in many ways. To wit...

Top stand-up comedians of all time (no particular order):
Bill Hicks
David Cross
Patton Oswald
Dave Chappelle
Janeane Garofalo
Brian Regan
Chris Rock
and, of course, Carlin, Cosby, Pryor, Murphy, Martin

That's it.

Right now, I'm stuck in High Point, NC working the goddamn Furniture Market. Things haven't been going so well lately. It's an arduous task, taking so much bullshit in stride.

I've had Elliot Smith's "Twilight" stuck in my head for three days now. I can't get it out. I may be going crazy.

Greetings.

I'm a skinny, white male who likes sailing, music, and... other stuff. My defects include: genetic inability to see without glasses, awful communication skills, a piss-poor work ethic, and a general distaste for most things popular. I've been called a smart-ass many, many times and I have difficulty saying anything without using sarcasm.

Don't you want to meet me now?
