Last Friday I saw Pirates
Sunday I went to L.A. to the Star Wars convention. My mentor was a VIP artist there and he asked me to come down because they were doing portfolio reviews there. He also happened to meet and become pretty good friends with the art director at DC comics
He agreed to check out my work, even though he wasn't doing portfolio reviews, so I went down and showed him my stuff. He gave me a few tips and his card and wants me to meet up with him in San Diego in July. My other review went well also, and I'm supposed to meet up with another guy in San Diego too. Hopefully something will connect there. That is, if my work ethic improves soon. I've been exhausted and spacey as of late and haven't been able to get much drawing done.
The con was fun though, and my mentor, Larry, had a really cool booth set up. He was sculpting a bust of Obi Wan live and on the last day of the con, the raffled off a resin cast of the finished piece. The cast obviously hadn't been made yet, but the winner will get a really cool and rare collectible in the mail soon

The rest of the week...nothing really stands out with any significance....
Last Saturday my nephew and I went down to the Key Club in Hollywood to see Stolen Babies, Lacuna Coil, and Within Temptation. It was a great show and we were right up to the stage, front and center. I wish I had brought my camera in with me, as the singers from all three of those bands are absolutely beautiful and we would have been able to get some really good shots. I hadn't been to a show in quite a few months, so I had a really good time.
In other news, I'm completely revamping my Jack Sparrow costume. I'm going to make it as screen accurate as possible, even though that means dumping an incredible amount of money into it 
I'll just have to do it one piece at a time. I'll keep you updated on how that's going.
And now, here I sit dicking around on the internet. I need to get some drawings finished. I've been stalling on the last panel of the page I'm currently working on for over a week. That's completely unacceptable. I know I've really been neglecting all of my friends around here as of late, but be assured it's not on purpose, but it is justified 
Late.....
I have to wait until this weekend to pick it up.
