So that's Hobbes. Adorable isn't he? He's about 14 weeks old now and about the size of a rat terrier. I was having a rather rough day and him showing up put me in a good mood

Wednesday night I ended up barhopping with some friends and drank myself into oblivion. I ended up walking to a Denny's at 2 AM to get a cup of coffee and try to sober up a bit, but it was full of loud minors and by this time I had assessed the situation and concluded that my stomach was not going to keep this coffee down. A friend of mine that had been at the bar with me called right about then and asked if I needed a ride and a place to crash. I obviously did, so while he was on his way I just walked out of the restaurant and waited outside. About the time he showed up I threw up in the parking lot and he drove me back to his apartment.

Thanksgiving Day occurred. Not much else to say about that.

Friday night I hung out with d_day, bbbbbeckah, and CampMorningWood, who were out here visiting from Texas. Well, not d_day, he's no Texan. It was good seeing them though. It's been too long and they're always good for fun times I'll get out there next year, promise.

Saturday night found me drinking again. At a friend's apartment this time, and to be honest, I really wasn't in the drinking mood. I was really bitchy all day for one reason or another, and I just felt "bleh". Oh, and to top it off, this girl that I've had a....well....let's just say "odd" relationship with, showed up too. I really wasn't in the mood to put up with that either. She's one of those girls that desperately craves attention from everyone in the room. And she's a complete lush, and when she's drunk, she runs her mouth and gets completely belligerent. She flirts with anyone that crosses her path and once they start showing interest, it's like she crosses people off the list and moves on to the next person. So having witnessed this game several times before, I opted not to play. Given those circumstances a friend and I ran to the store to get some drinks and I grabbed a small bottle of Captain for myself. Well the night went on, I killed my rum, got sick of looking at the faces around me and bailed while I was still sober enough to drive, without telling anyone I was leaving. And that was that. I felt like burning the world, so I decided the best thing to do was get some sleep.

Sunday came and went.

As did Monday, Tuesday and today.

I'm ready for something new. New faces, new places, new loves, new hope, new paths. I'm glad I at least have this place to come to. This is an escape for me. And I appreciate you all being here.
