I am consistently amazed at the bizarre array of images that people are willing to permanently emblazon their skin with these days.

Seriously, I think I'm going to invest in a tattoo removal business. When all these people try to enter the workforce someday and find that nobody will hire you with a flaming skull on your neck, they'll come calling. biggrin

surreal

UPDATE: This comment was not intended as an anti-tattoo statement. I think some tattoos are incredible. When they have some deep, personal significance to you (see painbearer) I think it's a beautiful thing. My comment here was not meant as a blanket statement. I just don't think the vast majority of people getting inked these days are putting enough thought into it, that's all. Sure, right now that huge chestpiece with the flaming rosebush, lightning bolts and barbed wire might look really cool to you. You might decide to integrate that into some full sleeves and run it up onto your neck. Sounds pretty fucking cool, right? Well, how's that going to be when you're pushing 40 and it freaks your kids out? When you're finished with grad school and start trying to land a serious job, what do you think your chances will be? I'm not trying to be critical of people with tattoos. Sure, I don't have any, but I'm not against them. Like I said, all I'm advocating here is a little more common sense and a lot more thought before action.

As you were, ladies and gentlemen.

You really do have to be sure what you have is meaningful and is something that you will want for the rest of your life.

My mom was going to let me get a tattoo when I was 15, and I didn't do it, because I wanted to be sure I really wanted it. 3 years later, I got the exact thing 3 days after I turned 18!! smile
