Yes, I think you are right. The Cure is finally getting some well-deserved recognition for being a legendary influence in the American music world. I honestly believe that Robert Smiths' work with other artists over the past year or 2 had something to do with it. He sings on a track on Blink 182's newest release & also on a DJ's CD (JunkieXL). Plus all these new bands keep making public references to them as influences while being interviewed. It probably had something do with Coachella this weekend too! I was supposed to go, but had to change my plans.
