right now i'm working with one people's project. this suits me much better than all that ara stuff.
one, our group is much smaller. we're pretty fuckin tight. there's no infighting. which is a nice fuckin change.
two, my beliefs are all kinds of pessimistic, and in this group it's alright. it all gets balanced out. i feel as though people are more realistic than with ara.
i don't believe that either side (anti-racist/nazi, capitalist scum/conscientious, etc.) are going to win. it's a fight that i believe in fighting- but to a degree. there will always be people who hate and try to fuck over everyone in sight to turn a profit. i don't believe that that will ever go anywhere. greed, and fear of things that are different are two major concepts within being human.
so. rather than presenting the problems and leaving the solution at "stomping them out", i like the idea behind finding logical solutions that are within one's grasp. i think protests for the most part are pretty fuckin silly- espescially the nazi protests where you've got mostly white men screaming at mostly white men. it's just one big glory day, with kids bragging about getting arrested. getting arrested damages what you're yelling about far more than it helps.
one people's project runs one of the largest data bases in the states of neo nazis and right wing fucks- we publish their names, home addresses, phone numbers, pictures, affilliations, etc. we've gone out and flyered towns and let people know exactly who's living where. we've gotten people fired from their jobs, kicked out of the military, etc. we recently got a guy kicked out of haliburton. i like to think this sens out a message of "fine, be a racist fuck, just don't leave your fuckin house."
i've been doing intelligrnce type work for the last six months or so, and have gotten a nazi to drop out of all the organizations he was in.
but alas. i'm rambling and i may havr lost my original point. i apologize for my digressions.
yeah. shows are fun. but i'm broke. so i have a tendancy to frequent the shows where i get in for free. which are popping up more frequently... but i also hate people. so i don't always go to crowded places. again. i tend to get in fights. or just pass the fuck out. i don't drink too often. i tend to try to fight someone or fuck someone when i drink. and it's often the same person.
i don't know. i need to shut the fuck up. i'm rambling again.
