I love it when my parents try to interject their opinions in regards to my life decisions. "Are you sure you're going to be able to find a job in Austin?" "Do this, do that." Bro we're in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic as well as a great deal of civil unrest in this country, therefore I have no fucking clue if I'll be able to find a job in Austin. Or Midland, TX where I currently live. Or Dallas. Or San Antonio. Or Bismarck, ND. Or Paris fucking France. At least not in the what the parentals would consider to be a reasonable amount of time before they start in with the whining about my employment situation. Grrr. They fail to realize that I'm a strategist and that when left to my own devices I'm damn good at it. I've turned weighing in on the pros and cons, ins and outs, of living in a Texas based metropolitan area into a full time job over the past three weeks and North Austin is the clear cut winner in regards to what I'm looking for. Is the plan I've some up with fool proof? Lol, no. Of course not, HOWEVER if I feel to land a electrician apprenticeship after contacting 10, 15, 20, hell even 30 potential employers there's an absolutely GREAT trade school in the plus I possess over 10 years of commercial driving experience via the oil field to fall back on in case my initial plans hit a snag or two. Yeah I'll drive a cement mixer or run a fork life for a while if that's what it takes to pay the bills while I work to achieve my goals. Not to mention I'm a recreational computer repair technician so I've got that going for me as well. Anyhow rant complete. Damn I hate it when people under estimate me. I've got this. Boomers need to just sit down, shut the fuck up, take a knee, and let me do my thing....
